Tom Heaton is in contention to return for Burnley when they face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.

The England goalkeeper has missed the Clarets' last two matches but could return to face the Cherries, who staged a remarkable comeback to beat Liverpool 4-3 in their last Premier League game.

Their boss, Eddie Howe, spent almost two years at Turf Moor in between spells at Bournemouth, eventually returning to the south coast for personal reasons.

Team news

While Heaton is available, winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson is out for Burnley with a hamstring injury, while Steven Defour and Sam Vokes could return to the XI.

Bournemouth will have left-back Charlie Daniels available for the trip following a hip problem.

Junior Stanislas has an ankle injury which is expected to sideline the midfielder for a few weeks.

Stoke 2-0 Burnley

Merson's prediction

It was a massive win for Bournemouth last weekend - who could have seen that in their wildest dreams at half-time? Fair play to them, they took a chance and got an unbelievable result.

They need to follow it up now, they have set the bar high but Burnley will not be easy.

They are a different animal at home and always give their opponents a game at Turf Moor.
