Rickie Lambert was on target again as he helped Bristol Rovers to a 2-0 victory against Stockport.
Rovers ease to victory on home soil
Rickie Lambert scored his 25th league goal of the season to help Bristol Rovers to a comfortable 2-0 victory against Stockport.
The home side were in command from the fourth minute when Steve Elliott headed down a Stuart Campbell free-kick for Byron Anthony to volley in from close range.
Lambert's goal came from the penalty spot in the 36th minute after James Tunnicliffe had handled Jo Kuffour's ball in the box.
Stockport failed to force a worthwhile save from Steve Phillips and had their own goalkeeper Conrad Logan to thank for a fine one-handed stop to keep out Kuffour's 48th-minute shot on the turn.
Rovers also threatened to extend their advantage in the closing stages when substitute Ben Hunt had a header cleared off the line while Darryl Duffy's chip was just too high.
Campbell and Elliott also went close with fierce drives as Rovers finished well on top.
