Josh Simpson fired a late equaliser to earn Plymouth a deserved 1-1 draw in their League Two promotion clash with Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.
The midfielder drilled home a low right-footed drive from the edge of the box after 88 minutes to the delight of more than 1,200 Argyle fans in the 10,190 crowd.
Substitute Billy Bodin headed Rovers in front after 79 minutes after Jermaine Easter had played a Cristian Montano delivery back across goal.
Tom Lockyer hit a post with a second-half header for the home side in a competitive and evenly-fought West Country derby.
Plymouth created the better first-half chances and almost went ahead on the half-hour when the dangerous Greg Wylde saw his fierce left-footed shot from 15 yards hit the crossbar.
