Bristol Rovers 1-2 Coventry: Sky Blues maintain promotion push with come-from-behind win
Saturday 1 February 2020 19:26, UK
Liam Walsh created one goal and scored the other as Coventry came from behind to earn a deserved 2-1 League One win at Bristol Rovers.
The home side took a 23rd-minute lead when a mix-up between Sky Blues defender Kyle McFadzean and goalkeeper Marko Marosi allowed Jonson Clarke-Harris to steal in and net against his old club with a low drive.
Coventry were level in the 38th minute, Walsh's superb defence-splitting pass allowing Jamie Allen space to fire right-footed past Jamal Blackman from inside the box.
A fine move down the right saw the visitors take the lead in first-half stoppage-time.
Fankaty Dabo put Callum O'Hare in behind the Rovers defence and his low cut-back was stroked home by Walsh with his left foot.
