Jonathan Woodgate watched from the stands as Stoke went down 1-0 to League One Brentford in their pre-season friendly at Griffin Park.
Other than Woodgate, who is yet to make his debut for his new club, Tony Pulis named a strong side. But the Premier League side were undone by Charlie MacDonald's second-half header on Friday night.
