Bournemouth v Everton preview: John Stones fit for FA Cup clash

Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants his players to put their late collapse against Bournemouth in the Premier League to the back of their minds in the FA Cup fifth-round clash on Saturday.

The two clubs played out a 3-3 draw in November, with Junior Stanislas scoring a 98th-minute equaliser as Eddie Howe's men battled back from 2-0 down.

Defender John Stones is fit for this game after recovering from a hamstring injury that has kept him out since the end of January.

The England man has missed the Toffees' last four matches but has trained normally this week.

New signing Oumar Niasse is likely to have to wait for his debut as he is still recovering from minor wrist surgery while midfielder Muhamed Besic (hamstring) is out.

Meanwhile, Howe confirmed he would be making changes but told reporters he would be leaving his selection "as a surprise".

He has no fresh injury or suspension worries but long-term absentees Max Gradel, Tyrone Mings and Callum Wilson (all knee) are still a long way off returning to the squad.

This is a big football match for Martinez. Everton can't get into the top-four, so a cup run could be their only chance of success this season. They shouldn't be where they are in the Premier League - they're on the second page of the league! It's not good enough with that team.

The league fixture between these two summed up Everton's season. They took a 3-2 lead in the 90th minute but ended up drawing the game 3-3 still. I do fancy Everton to get quite far in this competition but I think they'll need a replay to get through this tie.
