Jamie Vardy could feature for the first time in pre-season for Leicester against Barcelona on Wednesday.
The International Champions Cup clash in Stockholm, live on Sky Sports 1 from 6.45pm, sees the champions from England and Spain up against each other before the new season.
Vardy, whose wrist surgery was delayed due to Euro 2016, should at least be fit for the Community Shield against Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday.
"Obviously when the cast comes off we'll see how much it's healed, or it might have healed completely," Vardy told Foxes Player. "So we'll have to just wait and see and hopefully it'll be good news. Who knows? I might be able to get some time against Barcelona on Wednesday."
Barcelona's 21-man squad includes the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Javier Mascherano, but Gerard Pique, Ivan Rakitic and Andres Iniesta have remained in Spain.
Claudio Ranieri says Barcelona's style of possession play could suit Leicester, whose counter-attacking football led them to the Premier League title last season.
"I know that against us, Barcelona will have the ball and you can't keep possession, because that's not our quality," he said on Monday.
"We can stay together with proper discipline and running."
Leicester have had a mixed pre-season so far, winning two and losing one of their three friendlies.
Their last ICC clash, against PSG in California, saw them lose 4-0, but Ranieri said it was a "good experience" as his side continue their preparations for the new Premier League season and their debut in the Champions League.
"Maybe if we had scored a goal when we had the chance at the start of the second half, maybe we can change something, but it was a good, good experience. A bad result, but I think we can improve from this defeat."
