Joe Pigott's double earned AFC Wimbledon a battling 2-1 home win against Wycombe to ease their Sky Bet League One relegation fears.
Alex Samuel cancelled out Pigott's first-half opener but the in-form striker netted again to secure three vital points in the club's quest to avoid the drop.
Pigott took his impressive tally to 14 goals in the league with a clinical effort not long after the equaliser to leave the Dons two points above the relegation zone with one game remaining.
Pigott had earlier had a chance to score from the spot when goalkeeper Ryan Allsop was adjudged to have fouled James Hanson. But the keeper pulled off a fine save to deny him.
Defender Adam El-Abd struck the left post with a powerful header and Jason McCarthy was denied by a smart block by home keeper Aaron Ramsdale.
But Pigott broke the deadlock when he nodded home from close range seven minutes before the break.
Samuel needed just four minutes after the restart to draw his side level and then headed against the bar but Pigott had the final say with his second goal.
