Joe Pigott's sixth goal of the season helped Wimbledon earn their first home League One victory of the campaign with a 2-1 success against Oxford at Kingsmeadow.
Scott Wagstaff opened the scoring for Wimbledon before Pigott made it two before half-time in a result that leaves Oxford second from bottom.
Wagstaff's second goal of the season broke the deadlock in the 20th minute. The winger headed an inviting cross from Andy Barcham, flicked on smartly by Jake Jervis, past Oxford goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell.
Pigott doubled the advantage 12 minutes later, capitalising on a stumble by Oxford captain John Mousinho to make it first to a long ball before calmly slotting home.
In the last minute of the first half Oxford pulled one back through Cameron Brannagan who rifled home after a smart one-two with Jon Obika.
Oxford piled on the pressure in the second half but the hosts held firm, the visitors' best chance to equalise coming through a succession of corners in a nervy end to the game.
