Accrington 3-2 Port Vale: Stanley comeback to win
Saturday 20 January 2018 19:28, UK
A Sean McConville double helped Accrington come from 2-0 down to beat Port Vale 3-2 and remain third in the Sky Bet League Two table.
Port Vale opened the scoring in the third minute when David Worrall played a ball in from the right and Tom Pope headed home his 15th goal of the campaign.
Vale doubled their lead after 41 minutes when Michael Tonge's free-kick from the edge of the area went through a sea of bodies and into the bottom corner of Aaron Chapman's goal.
Stanley got a goal back on 51 minutes when Billy Kee flicked the ball back for McConville and the winger belted it into the net from 10 yards.
Kee scored a controversial equaliser three minutes later from within the six yard box after Kayden Jackson's initial strike was blocked - Vale felt Kee handled the ball over the line but it was given and the striker celebrated his sixth goal in six games.

Vale should have been in front but for a superb save from a Tom Anderson header which Chapman touched onto the bar after 66 minutes.
McConville made them pay in the 72nd minute with a fierce strike after Kee once again set him up.
