England head coach Eddie Jones has warned his players he will introduce 'a bit of chaos' in order to prepare them for every possible scenario at the next World Cup - even joking his squad will be ready for a missile attack from North Korea.
Jones has guided England to 19 wins out of 20 Test matches since replacing Stuart Lancaster in 2015 but the former Australia head coach insists his side are far from the finished article as they continue to build towards the 2019 World Cup.
"We need to make the team more uncomfortable, not have everything nice and rosy - have a bit of chaos in the house," Jones said.
"Training, preparation, certainty... we want the players to be uncomfortable for the next two years. We want them to get to the World Cup and think, 'Goodness me, I've made it and I'm prepared for anything'.
"Prepared for North Korea to fire a missile, an earthquake, bad sushi, bad refereeing... It doesn't matter what happens - they will be ready for it."
England are currently preparing for the upcoming autumn internationals against Argentina, Australia and Samoa.
Jones has included uncapped Exeter Chiefs back-row Sam Simmonds in his 34-man training squad for the Tests, although there is no place for veteran flanker James Haskell.
"James was smart enough to know it was coming," said Jones.
"We have continuous conversations about where the players are at. He knows he's a bit off the pace at the moment. The door is certainly not closed on him."
