    Verdict

Checkandchallenge represents last year’s winning yard but was well beaten by Royal Champion when the latter won the Listed Wolferton Stakes at Ascot in June having also finished behind fourth-placed MY PROSPERO in the Lockinge earlier. The Haggas colt has been competing at the highest level since landing a Group 2 in France last summer and comes out best at the weights in this. Dual Group 3 winner Alflaila returns to action with an entry in the Juddmonte International and should go well while the Irish challenger Mashhoor has shown good progress this year and landed a Group 3 at the Curragh last time.
