    Verdict

The Haggas and Balding yards have a good recent record in this but both Lordship and stablemate Alhambra Palace have a hike in the weights to contend with and Andrew Balding’s The Goat has been raised 12lb after romping home in testing going at Goodwood. Edge Of Darkness is another looking to extend a winning run while Middle Earth is preferred to stable companion Vaguely Royal given the latter was beaten by Davideo at Newmarket and Frankie gets the leg-up on the latter. DENMARK hasn’t raced since April but has some fancy entries next month including the Irish St Leger and the Ballydoyle colt gets a speculative vote in an open contest.
