Verdict

Mark Johnston runs a couple of three-year-olds in this with Joe Fanning riding the ultra-consistent Sennockian Star. But four-year-olds have generally held sway in the contest in recent years and ROCKALONG can continue the trend. Luca Cumani's charge handled the step up to 1m2f at Newmarket last time and today's easier going is in his favour. Strictly Silver is no stranger to carrying big weights and is aiming to follow up a recent victory at HQ while Charles Camoin popped up at a big price on his reappearance at Ascot and should strip fitter here. Spirit Of The Law is another recent winner and Ruscello is usually thereabouts, though wouldn't want the ground any softer. Sam Sharp won over 1m1f here in June and also deserves a mention, though is high enough in the weights now.
