This is a typically high class renewal of the Nunthorpe and Dandy Man, Reverence and Moss Vale can fight out the finish with soft ground specialist Reverence given the nod to prevail here. Winner of the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket in May, Dandy Man has since run with great credit, winning his race on the far side group in the Kings Stand, before scoring in Listed company in Ireland. He is not completely proven on ground as soft as this, and he is taken on. A winner of one Group Three and two Group Twos, Moss Vale won with some authority in Ireland last time and comes here in great heart. Capable of winning over the minimum trip and able to handle the ground, Moss Vale looks sure to run well and is only reluctantly passed over. Not raced until last season when a four year old, Reverence made great strides, winning four races last season. He won the Group Two Temple Stakes at Sandown on soft ground earlier this year in fine style and although seemingly held by Dandy Man on running in the Kings Stand, that run came on fast ground. Reverence is racing on his favoured surface for the first time since that Temple Stakes success, and can prove his class here.
