Verdict

Star Of Lady M is racing from out of the handicap and hasn’t quite recaptured her juvenile form. Designer won this as a three-year-old 12 months ago but is 5lb higher. Though a fair fourth at Goodwood latest, she was well behind Marine Wave in a Listed race at Ayr earlier when Richard Fahey’s filly found only Makarova too good. The winner has since finished second in a Group 3 at Sandown and fourth in a Group 2 at Goodwood but Oisin Orr’s mount does have something to find with Radio Goo Goo on the form book. Woolhampton looks in the handicapper’s grip but PILLOW TALK has slipped down the weights and goes well here. The latter gets the nod even though her stable companion Lady Hamana contests her first handicap and can’t be ignored. Pinafore carries a penalty having a first run over the minimum trip.
