Verdict

The unbeaten GREGORY is currently favourite for next month’s St Leger and can advertise his claims with another victory in this key trial. Frankie keeps the ride after steering the Golden Horn colt to a comfortable win in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot in June. A Group 3 winner as a two-year-old, Continuous has been highly tried this season but was third in the Dante here in May, when Canberra Legend was well behind, and second in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot last time with Artistic Star held on the form book. Castle Way coped with a step up in trip when taking a Group 3 at Newmarket latest and is still progressing but he’s in at the deep end here.
