David O'Meara and Silvestre De Sousa won this a year ago and have teamed up to such good effect this season. The jockey was on board for the first time when Powerful Presence gained his fourth win of the year at Haydock three weeks ago. A 5lb rise makes things more difficult but another big run is anticipated. Dandy Nicholls has four entries and son Adrian is on board George Benjamin, who was nowhere near his best at Catterick last time but had earlier run a fine race behind Mujaadel there and won over the trip at Thirsk in April. PELMANISM finished runner-up to Orpsie Boy at Catterick when he finished strongly off a slow pace. He's been raised another 2lb for that but is running so well that he can defy the burden and gain his sixth win of the year. Legal Legacy has a very good chance on his recent victory over Beckermet at Doncaster but would prefer quicker ground.
