        Verdict

        Dark Vision aims to take a further step up the ladder after winning a Listed race at Pontefract last time. But he came up the centre of track when landing the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot in June whereas POGO was drawn on the stands’ side. The latter was beaten under two lengths and is 5lb better off and he has also improved since, winning in Listed company at Windsor and then running a fine third in the Group 1 Prix d’Ispahan at Chantilly, form which earns him the vote in this. Lord Glitters, the winner two years ago, showed he is still a force to be reckoned with when third in a Group 2 here four weeks ago while Haydock third Certain Lad is in the form of his life but Epic Hero is having a first run in this country. Zabeel Prince is the highest rated of these and would have needed his run at Leopardstown while Miss O Connor is better than she showed at Ascot when the ground may have been too lively.
