The usual cavalry charge to launch the Ebor Festival and a typically-tricky puzzle to solve. Culturati is a fascinating entry for Godolphin as the five-year-old takes in just a seventh career start. He tired when last seen over 7f at this venue after well over a year away but the drop back to 6f could be just what's required. Tis Marvellous looked to have something to spare when landing a Shergar Cup sprint at Ascot and is highly respected at the head of the weights along with the ultra-consistent El Astronaute. But a case can be made for any number of the many northern sprint handicappers who take it in turn to beat one another throughout the season, one of which is COPPER KNIGHT. Tim Easterby's charge hasn't really got into his last couple of races but, if repeating the nature of his extremely comfortable win in the Gosforth Park Cup three runs ago, could be hard to peg back.
