There are a number of impossible-looking handicaps on today’s card but this may not be as open as some. Tim Easterby is mob-handed and Bay Breeze and The Dunkirk Lads should both be thereabouts while Gnat Alley has won her last two. AZURE BLUE easily landed the odds at Newcastle in November with the runner-up, Invasive, later beating Hot Diggity Dog at Wolverhampton. Michael Dods’ filly had shown plenty of promise earlier on Turf and she should be competitive making her handicap debut off a mark of 78. Justcallmepete has improved for a switch back to Turf and Maybe Even Never ran a cracker behind Korker here nine days ago, though that was over 5f.
