The going was good to soft when Safe Voyage made all in this 12 months ago but rain is forecast and John Quinn’s tough campaigner could be interesting if conditions deteriorate. Glorious Journey wasn’t disgraced in the July Cup having won a Group 3 earlier at Newmarket but William Buick, unsurprisingly, has chosen SPACE BLUES (NAP) who didn’t appear to handle Goodwood when returning from a break in the Lennox Stakes but was still beaten under a length and is a Group 1 winner running without a penalty. Sir Busker and the much-improved Highfield Princess have each-way claims but Primo Bacio looks a bigger danger having run well at the highest level since landing a Listed race over a mile here in the spring.
