Tax Free makes a very rare appearance in a handicap but has been well below par in his last two runs. Doctor Parkes is in the form of his life and has decent claims again here. He can confirm Chester running with Masamah. Irish raider Celerina has won three of her last four starts and is on the upgrade while Mon Brav is also chasing a hat-trick after wins at Musselburgh and Thirsk. Hotham's recent efforts don't inspire much confidence but Noel Wilson's eight-year-old has a terrific record on the Knavesmire and is very well handicapped nowadays. Ancient Cross won over C&D nine days ago and Mick Easterby's sprinters have been running well this year but we just prefer HUMIDOR, who beat the latter at Ascot in the autumn and got up to beat Addictive Dream at Goodwood last time despite failing to handle the track - he may be a bit better than that run suggests.
