      Verdict

      Alflaila was too good for Marie's Diamond in a Listed race at Pontefract last month but was earlier beaten a length-and-a-half by MIGHTY ULYSSES at Newmarket. Fifth earlier in the St James’s Palace Stakes at Ascot, Frankie’s mount should get favourite backers off to the perfect start this afternoon. Cadillac won in this grade at the Curragh last year and won a Group 2 as a juvenile. He was a little below par at Newbury last time but can’t be ignored. Bashkirova carries a penalty for winning a Group 3 at Epsom in June and that may find her out.
