Dermot Weld has won this twice in recent years and Amma Grace looked on the way back to her best at Cork, though more rain would aid her cause. The Gosden stable also has a fine record in the race and Pennymoor could hardly have been more impressive at Kempton though takes a big step up in class. Portfolio beat subsequent winner Brunnera at Newmarket and was less than a length behind in a Listed contest there next time but the vote goes to DUBAI FOUNTAIN. She wasn't beaten far in the Ribblesdale and her latest run when last in a Haydock Group 2 is best ignored as that wasn't her form.
