This has the makings of an informative maiden when a host of powerful stables represented. Ballydoyle have entered both Athens and Crusade, the latter having a decent US dirt pedigree, but Aidan O'Brien's strike rate here with his juveniles has room for improvement. Frankie has opted to ride Crying Wolf, an $800,000 yearling out of Street Cry, but Paul Hanagan isn't a bad replacement on Godolphin's supposed second-string MIZWAAJ who makes more appeal. By Invincible Spirit and from the same family as Diktat and Russian Rhythm, the latter has an entry in the Two-Year-Old Trophy which suggests he's been showing plenty of speed at home and he can make a winning debut. Thomas Chippendale is another interesting newcomer while Goodwood second Llanarmon Lad may prove the best of those with experience as Burano, Firestarter and Storming Bernard all disappointed last time.
