The unbeaten Godolphin colt Boccaccio needs to take another step forward on these terms having won a handicap at Newmarket on his reappearance. Ventura Rebel and Royal Commando share the same official mark and there was little between them in the Commonwealth Cup over 6f at Ascot last time but SYMBOLIZE (NAP) is preferred. The latter finished a creditable third over today’s trip in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Ascot on his return to action and a bold bid is expected from Andrew Balding’s colt.
