    In depth

    Formwatch

Pipalong (IRE) Runner-up in this race last year and went on to win Group One at Haydock. Yet to fire this season but the rain will suit her and better expected today. However, as a penalised mare this is a tough task.

Eastern Purple (IRE) Needs to come very late and perhaps not the most consistent of performers. Chance on best form but others are preferred.

Astonished Much better than latest form suggests, an easily capable of winning in this grade, though his best form is over the minimum trip.

Bahamian Pirate (USA) In great form last year but has never won in this grade and well held on all three runs this term.

Bertolini (USA) Clear pick on official ratings and second in the Nunthorpe here last year. Likely to play a leading role here, but doesn't win too many.

Doctor Spin (IRE) Fifth in this race last year but well beaten at Newmarket on reappearance and unlikely to fare any better today.

Harmonic Way Won the Wokingham off 9-6 last year and ran really well behind Munjiz on reappearance (now 6lbs better off for under a length). Needs to come late but has a genius in the saddle today and a big run is anticipated.

Ho Leng (IRE) Needs to be held up late. Decent sprinter on his day but faces a stiff task here on reappearance.

Misraah (IRE) Fair fifth to Primo Valentino on reappearance, his first run since being gelded. Held in some regard by his trainer, but his temperament can let him down.

Munjiz (IRE) Returned to his very best when winning a competitive handicap at Newmarket last time, and has claims on that although not certain to confirm the form with Hunting Lion or Harmonic Way at these weights.

Now Look Here In great heart this season and seems to be in form of his life. Jockey gets on well with him and another good show is expected.

Tedburrow Great stable servant and very capable on his day. Had a few of these behind when fourth to Primo Valentino at Newmarket and a reproduction would see him go close here, although he is well held by Bertolini on form in Dubai.

Vision of Night Will strip fitter for reappearance and stable in superb form, as is his jockey.

Hot Tin Roof (IRE) Useful sprinter at her best but likes a bit of cut in the ground and not too encouraging on reappearance at Bath.

Hunting Lion (IRE) Third in Jersey Stakes last year and a good second to Munjiz last time. Could reverse form at these weights and certainly not one to treat lightly.
