In depth

Verdict

Lord Of The Lodge won off a much higher mark on the all-weather at the start of the year and ran well for fourth here last month, though has been done no favours by the draw. No Nay Nicki and Titan Rock may also have to suffer in the early stages but connections of RIOT will be happy with stall five. Though the six-year-old is now 0-18 on Turf, he’s not been beaten far the last twice and has been dropped a pound since his latest fifth at Epsom. Dirtyoldtown has disappointed in two runs this term but the lightly-raced four-year-old is looking very well treated nowadays while Doctor Khan Junior took another step forward when beating Motagally and Another Investment over track and trip last month.
