In depth

Verdict

This has an open look about it but Tim Easterby’s pair, Poet's Dawn and Highwaygrey, don’t appear as well treated as some. Jean Baptiste still looks out of sorts but PLEDGE OF HONOUR came up against a well-handicapped rival at Doncaster and should be approaching peak fitness now. Aqwaam represents last year’s winning yard and Westernesse and Menelaus are recent winners, though the latter is carrying a penalty and has yet to win beyond a mile. Solanna is in good form so can’t be ruled out.
