Verdict
Snoano denied Majeed by only a neck in the Listed Wolferton Stakes at Ascot and the latter re-opposes on better terms. Scarlet Dragon, Tumbaga, Dragon Mall and Central Square all finished further behind Snoano while Ballet Concerto was in front of Another Touch when fourth over a mile at Ascot but has something to prove over today’s trip. Progressive last year, Sixties Groove has come in for support as he drops back in distance along with Uae Prince while Master Carpenter won this off a similar mark in 2015 but Big Country still carries 5lb extra for an earlier success over course and distance. VICTORY BOND (NAP) returned to action with a third over a mile here but won a maiden over 1m2f last season. He looks to have been laid out for this by William Haggas and can go close with plenty of scope for further improvement.
