Milton Bradley has stepped up a gear with his string of late and the prolific Bali Royal has once again been at the spearhead. She is as tough as they come and has continued to leave the handicapper scratching his head with regard to getting the measure of her. She has risen 41lb in the official ratings since last April and is set to race off a career highest mark of 98 - 3lb higher than for her latest success. She is ideally drawn and should give another good account of herself as she prepares to head for a crack at the Wokingham. Elvington Boy is another to consider after some solid performances this season. He has enough early speed to overcome his wide draw and must have a strong chance of confirming his course and distance form with Bali Royal from last month. He has a 1lb pull with that rival for being beaten a short head at Musselburgh last time, where he was almost too quickly out of the stalls for his own good and Dale Gibson worked wonders to stay in the saddle - let alone finish so close to the eventual winner. Rudi's Pet bounced back to form in the Vodafone Dash at Epsom but has not been the most consistent of performers and a 7lb penalty could well put a halt to his chance today. Eastern Trumpeter looked to be on the way back at Ripon last week and may go on to better that performance here, but still has a little to find with the likely principles in the betting market.
