In depth

Verdict

Wells Farhh Go can take a fierce hold and is best watched returning from a lengthy absence. Nayef Road also likes to race up with the pace but he’s a strong stayer who could find himself struggling for pace over this trip. Stablemate Sir Ron Priestley has returned as good as ever but he’s only raced on going this soft once before and was well beaten. Spanish Mission won the Doncaster Cup in September but has not reproduced that form since so this looks a good opportunity for SANTIAGO (NAP) to restore his reputation. Last year’s Irish Derby winner failed to land the odds on his reappearance at Navan but wasn’t given a hard time with bigger targets in mind this year.
