In depth
Formwatch
Choto Mate (IRE) Comes here in top form and has won from a 3lb higher mark so is still feasibly well treated in attempt to land the hat-trick. Should go well if the low draw is not a hindrance.
Dumaran (IRE) Drops back in trip slightly here after disappointing over further, he should handle the ground but looks weighted up to the hilt.
Great News Hit form at this time last year and did so again when scoring in the same race at the Western Meeting at Ayr. Failed to build on that run last time and may have to settle for a minor role.
Cardinal Venture (IRE) In good form but will need to put in a career best to score here.
Only For Gold Very speedy on his day and likes to race to the fore. He is holding his form well and warrants more than a second glance.
Nigrasine Wins in his turn but he has been on the go since April and looked to be feeling effects of a hard season last time.
James Stark (IRE) Failed to take his chances this term and is passed over for win only purposes.
Welsh Wind (IRE) Knocking on the door but has looked a little reluctant to go on in the closing stages, best watched.
Arjay In good form but looks opposable on these terms.
Native Title Struggled since stepped up to Handicap Company and is another best left alone.
Slumbering (IRE) Needs soft ground to be seen at his best and is shaping as if about to come to hand. However, faces no easy task at the weights and will have to be on song to figure.
Downland (IRE) Surprise winner of the Tote Trifecta Stakes at Ascot late last month. Failed to reproduce last time but should the ground come up truly soft his chances of a repeat effort would increase.
Premier Baron Looks to have hit a wall of late and is best left alone.
Uhoomagoo In good form and was not disgraced a better grade contest last time, races off the same mark here and should go well again.
Style Dancer (IRE) Hard to fancy on recent form.
Lady Pahia (IRE) struggled to confirm her promise since landing a couple of Handicaps at Kempton and Goodwood in June, and looks to have a stiff task on these terms.
Smirfys Party Another whose form is starting to tail off and is best watched at present.
Tribal Prince Best efforts have come on firmer ground, but not without a chance on the pick of his form
Elgria (IRE) His two runs since scoring at Epsom in August have left a lot to be desired and is another who looks likely to struggle.
Naviasky (IRE) Good chance on the pick of his form but he has become a little inconsistent of late.
Melodian Soft ground winner at Doncaster in March but has been out of form since and is hard to enthuse about.
College Maid (IRE) Very tough filly who thrives on her racing but this trip is the absolute limit of her stamina and she failed to impress in her last try at seven up at Ayr in June.
Santisima Trinidad (IRE) Consistent efforts this term but she may struggle on these terms.
Soldier Point Run into a place three times this term and that looks to be his limit again here.
