The concluding race on the card is one that normally throws up a big priced winner and with that in mind we will side with Steelcut to spring a surprise, with Mimi Mouse, Bond Boy and Highland Warrior others in with chances. Steelcut's chance may well be enhanced by the application of first-time bliners here. Richard Fahey has his horses in decent form and the three-year-old's sire Iron Mask was twice a winner on bottomless ground, so there is encouragement from his pedigree that he can get his nose in front from this reasonable mark. Bond Boy is the likely favourite and races from the same mark as when placed on his last two starts. He handles cut well enough and will not be easy to beat but maybe he just needs to drop a few pounds more and he is no good thing. Highland Warrior was a soft ground winner over the minimum trip at Ripon last month but looks in the grip of the handicapper now, while Mimi Mouse would prefer this to be run on faster ground at Thirsk, and Steelcut is our suggestion in a trappy finale.
