The last three winners have been drawn 20, 18 and 15, all on ground with some give. Last year's close third and fourth Blaine and Fast Shot return for another crack and the former is well enough drawn to make his presence felt again under Amy Ryan while the stable's Bogart has a good record around here and isn't on a bad mark these days. Hoof It won the race in 2011 and Mick Easterby also took it a year ago so the veteran shouldn't be dismissed with Kieren Fallon on board. The lightly-raced and progressive Polybius ended the last campaign with a close third in a Listed contest while Tatlisu has returned action in find shape and may prove best of the Richard Fahey quartet. Pipers Note is in the form of his life which is why he's on his highest ever mark and he was behind Out Do at Kempton in November. The latter returned with an impressive victory at Pontefract and can go well despite his big weight but a chance is taken with MASS RALLY, who was 4l behind in that latter race but was doing his best work at the finish and looked back to the sort of form that saw him land the Coral Sprint here in 2013.
