      Verdict

      Jim Bolger has won this for the past two years and SPECIAL FOCUS is taken to make it a hat-trick. She made her debut at Navan last month and though unable to catch the race-fit Bebhinn the run signalled much more to come and she can again take care of the close third Californiadreaming, who looked as though she knew her job. Rue Bonaparte is an obvious threat as she produced a fine opening run in what looked a very strong maiden won by Madame Thunder here last month. With Dermot Weld still firing the winners home, the newcomer Piazzini, a half-sister to three winners, should be noted for the future.
