It was soft going when Jabbarockie won at Haydock last month and he’s since found Lathom too good at Ayr. Paul Midgley’s charge has been raised 7lb but also beat Canford Bay at Ayr and the latter has boosted the form by winning at Chester recently. Excessable went close over track and trip in a novelty race for jump jockeys last time and won this in 2017 while DASCHAS has been keeping better company since scoring in this grade at Newmarket in May. Back on the same mark today, Stuart Williams’ charge can return to winning ways. Acclaim The Nation is another expected to finish closer back at this level but Superseded is upped in class after scoring at Wolverhampton.
