Verdict

Not the strongest of races of this type to have ever taken place on the Knavesmire can go to Island Swing, whose proven form on the ground boosts his claims over Little Biscuit, Joshar and Amphitheatre, who are expected to make up the main body of the opposition. Not many of the rest have really caught the imagination to a sufficient enough degree to forward a recommendation for a confident play at fancy odds, but Gold Quay and Magic Genie hail from shrewd yards and will not need to be anything out of the ordinary to trouble the majority today. However, there was plenty to like about the way that Island Swing took to the task in-hand when winning at Haydock last time and, even though this merits a slightly stiffer ask, the son of Trans Island should be equal to the requirements and is fancied to follow up today.
