      Verdict

A fascinating contest here all the entrants holding some sort of chance. Capricho is a credit to connections and has been consistent all season. He steps back up to his preferred distance here and can hold off some useful types. Some doubted Surprise Encounter's love of the game earlier this season but ran with credit at both Goodwood and Salisbury before disappointing at Ascot last time out. Attache has shown steady improvement since changing stables and his fourth place in the Ayr Gold Cup was an excellent effort however six furlongs could be his best trip these days (did race over a mile and a half when with Mark Johnston). Inchdura has only put in one poor run all season, winning twice as well as picking up valuable place prize money. He may, however, be a little too high in the weights at present. Dark Charm could be the dark horse of the race and his recent efforts after an absence suggest he could go well. His effort at Newbury on his penultimate start over this trip was a valiant effort and he should go close if the money is down. Forever Times has been campaigned mainly at six furlongs of late but has proved he stays this trip in the past. With David Allan taking a valuable few pounds off his back he should run to his merits. His last victory came on firm ground. King Harson runs well at this time of the year and could well reward each-way backers at a decent price.
