Desert Fury had been putting in some solid runs in defeat before being given a well deserved break. Ben Hanbury's gelding looks well in at the weights on the best of his old form and if coping with the expected firm ground is the TEAMtalk selection with Richard Hughes booked to ride. Paul Cole runs two in this decent claimer with preference going to guaranteed stayer Smoothie. He has won twice this year and this looks his best trip. Inspector General should cope with the ground and on the very best of his old form should put in a solid effort. A drop in trip could well suit Maunsells Road who has been consistent all year and ran well on firm ground at Salisbury three weeks ago. Firm ground specialist Crispey Brook has each-way possibilities and it is interesting that he is turned out so quickly following a fine run at Redcar five days ago. Unshaken steps up in trip here and although he is a consistent sort he could struggle here.
