    Verdict

Fighting Irish came good at Salisbury but will need to improve further to defy a 6lb penalty over this longer trip. AYUTTHAYA can make the most of the weight concession having only been headed in the closing stages over a mile at Hamilton last time when well ahead of Buckstopper Kit. Today’s shorter distance should suit and Kevin Ryan’s colt can open his account at the main expense of the newcomer Elarqam. A half-brother to a host of winners, including the smart sprinter Fountain Of Youth, he cost 1.6 million guineas as a yearling and has entries in all of the remaining leading juvenile races.
