In depth

Verdict

Haliphon is due to be raised 5lb for last week’s second at Epsom but CHARGING THUNDER makes an even quicker reappearance. The latter won a higher grade contest at Pontefract a couple of days ago with plenty in hand and David O’Meara’s charge can strike again despite a penalty. Fair Star has been thereabouts on the all-weather and Emiyn ran well in the Chester Plate last month but Year Of The Dragon has yet to race over this far. Dancing Harry faced a tougher task at Goodwood last time and is not out of this.
