Giddy is 2lb out of the handicap but probably still ahead of the ratings judged by her two runs this season so has to be a threat. Gran Canaria Queen won this a year ago from 2lb higher then followed up at Pontefract. She hasn't been in the best of form this spring but it would be no surprise to see her bounce back. Rural Celebration does best with some give in the ground while the two recent victories of Mehronissa have both been achieved on good to soft going though she's very much on the upgrade. Queen's Pearl completed a double last summer before stepping up to Listed company and though she hasn't managed a victory she's performed well enough to give her a chance here. Mayfair Lady has a similar profile to the latter but hasn't run since the lucrative Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar in October where she wasn't beaten far. ALQUBBAH (NAP) was a close third in a Listed contest from a poor draw on her penultimate start and again appeared to show subsequently at Goodwood that she wouldn't be long in winning again, so this could be her day.
