Game Player is a very interesting contender in this as he was knocking on the door off a similar mark in this grade last summer and shouldn’t fail through lack of fitness. Nicholas T was recording an eighth career victory at Ayr last month but probably needs further nowadays. Brian Epstein wasn’t disgraced in the Royal Hunt Cup consolation after finishing second at Haydock but Fox Premier was disappointing in the big handicap itself at Ascot. Kylie Rules is likely to be staying on in the closing stages and FIRMAMENT’s fourth at Newcastle could hardly have worked out any better and he was hampered subsequently at Ascot. Northernpowerhouse looked an improved performer when pouncing late at Redcar but this will be his first try beyond 7f.
