        Verdict

        Damaar should thrive over middle-distances next season so did well to make a winning debut over 7f at Sandown. He will take some beating here, despite his penalty. King's Crusader was clear of the remainder when third at Redcar but there are some nicely-bred newcomers in this, though Trojan Horse will need further in time. Three Start is a full brother to a 7f winner on Polytrack but it’s interesting that Ralph Beckett is starting his Golden Horn filly LUNA DORADA off against the colts and geldings. She is a half-sister to the stable’s winning miler Galah, who handles soft ground, and her yard has won this in two of the last three years.
