Verdict

Annandale beat older rivals over a similar trip at Ayr last month and is only 2lb higher. Mahrajaan is progressing at a rate of knots and on a four-timer but Praiano has proved frustrating to follow since scoring at Leicester in August and continues to edge up the weights. ZIGGY (NAP) was keeping on behind Crema Anglesa over 1m2f at Sandown last month and the winner didn’t let the form down at Newmarket last week. His sire won the St Leger and his dam won over 1m4f so this step up in trip should not be a problem. Star Caliber has been running well in defeat this year and it would be no surprise to see him in the firing-line again.
