This has been run three times with big-priced winners in each including Bertiewhittle a year ago. David Barron's charge has had 18 subsequent starts without winning but all have been at a higher level than this and he's run very well on several occasions. David O'Meara has three entries with Steel Train, who ran a cracking race at Ascot last time though isn't consistent, an obvious contender along with Regal Dan, who is back on a fair mark. Courier completed a hat-trick when landing a Class 3 handicap at Hamilton in August and though beaten by Honeysuckle Lil at Hamilton last time that was over 6f on heavy ground. KHELMAN (NAP) has produced two excellent runs in better handicaps than this at Doncaster and Ayr in recent weeks and has surprisingly dropped 1lb after his third in the Bronze Cup. He has no problems with today's trip and with the excellent Adam McNamara on board he can take this for Richard Fahey.
