        Verdict

        Convince has more on his plate today than in the past but if putting his best hoof forward can win it at the expense of Plateau and Flying Bantam. The selection was in winning form at Leicester last time out and now carries a six pound penalty for his troubles. All his efforts have been fair ones so far this season and the stable are having a purple patch at the moment so all their runners are well worth noting. Plateau carries top weight but looked like coming back to near his best when third of eighteen at Newmarket last time out. He can be a little in and out though and cannot be entirley trusted to repeat that effort. Flying Bantam is a more consistant type and was in winning form at Thirsk last month, he has since put in a couple of bold bids so he cannot be ruled out. But for the winner we return to Convince who we feel can shrug off his penalty.
