In a tricky race, Peace Lily is selected ahead of Redeye Special and King Of Meze. Redeye Special looked promising in winning his first two races last season and, despite the fact that his form then tailed off a little, he remains lightly raced and can go well today. Torquemada get a shout having run well from today's mark last June, while Peace Lily also looks competitive racing from today's mark based on her last two efforts, which were fair ones. Tuning Fork ran very well last time on his first run for a new yard and could yet remain competitively weighted, while a repeat of his course and distance second last October would certainly give King Of Meze claims, and he has shown improvement for the application of cheekpieces. Finally, Kalani Star would have a good chance based on last summer's form, if able to recapture it. It all adds up to a competitive race, one in which Peace Lily can make it third-time lucky based on some good recent efforts, the latest of them having come in a competitive handicap. She gets the nod.
